As far as Bollywood industry is concerned, many of the male celebrities have achieved an almost deified prestige like Amir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. But in Hindi cinema, few men could fit the description of flexibility where recognized excellence is not only limited to acting career and the most proverbial character in this category is named Akshay Kumar. Ashkay Kumar is very well-known for his awards in multiple genres going beyond the core foundation of acting and theatrics. In fact, it is more difficult to name another male Bollywood celebrity as a strictly multi-gifted star in comparison.

Akshay Kumar’s proficiency in acting is centered on a very unusually applied genre in Hindi cinema – action. His appearance in action films is a testament to his martial arts prowess. Before he became an actor, he was already a taekwondo black belter. When he moved to Thailand, his prowess evolved after taking Muay Thai as a recreational activity while working as in the restaurant both as a waiter and cook. Askay’s discovery took place when he returned to India to teach martial arts that incorporated all his practical learning during his stay in Thailand.

For his skill in martial arts and his application of it in film acting, he was dubbed as “The Jackie Chan” of India. But it is not only that sentimental accolade which he received due to his performance. In 2008 he was awarded with a ceremonial Japanese sword and a black belt in Gojuryu Karate. He also received an honorary doctorate degree of law in Canada’s University of Windsor due to his important involvements in social works. Lastly, he received the Padma Shri state award, the fourth highest national accolade in India. Not counting these non-cinematic tributes, he garnered over 58 awards praising his performance in the Hindi film industry.

Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan born on 10th January, 1974 is a leading Bollywood actor. He is the son of another leading Bollywood actor of yesteryears Rakesh Roshan. He started his career acting in many movies as a child actor from early 1980’s. His debut movie ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ along with Ameesha Patel, released in the year 2000, won him the Filmfare award for not only as the best debutante actor but also as the best actor award. His career started taking a leap the moment the movie went on to become one of the best box office hits and he became a household name and an overnight star. The film won a total of 102 awards and even entered in ‘The Limca Book of Records’. Till today he has acted in more than 20 films.

He has an elder sister Sunaina and his uncle Rajesh Roshan is a leading Bollywood music director. During his childhood days, he was suffering from a speech disorder called ‘stammering’. He is also having one extra thumb alongside his right thumb which he feels to be his lucky charm. The thumb is often hidden in most of his movies. He has completed his graduation in commerce from Sydenham College, Mumbai.

‘Koi… Mil Gaya’, released in 2003 was another blockbuster hit. Both the films, ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ and ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ were directed by his father Rakesh Roshan and both turned out to be box office hits. He has also acted in science fiction movies such as ‘Krrish’, which is also directed by Rakesh Roshan. The movie earned around USD.23.30 million in the year 2006. In the year 2011, his wax replica was installed at the famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, London. He is the 5th Indian actor to receive such coveted honor. He is currently working in his home production movie ‘krrish-3’.

He tied his knot in the year 2000 with his sweetheart Suzanne Khan and they have two sons namely Hrehaan and Hridhaan. He has not yet been romantically involved with any heroine and till today has a very clean image in the film industry.

Salman Khan was named Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan at his birth. He was born on the 27th of December, 1965. He is the eldest son of Salim Khan (One of Indian movie's legendary screenwriter) and first wife Salma. He began his acting career in the year 1988 with a movie titled ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’. It was in the year 1989, the movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ won him the best debutante male actor Filmfare award. Till today, Salman Khan has acted in about 80 movies and he is regarded as one of the highest paid actors of Indian Cinema. He was even voted as the 7th best looking male in the world in the year 2004 by People Magazine and in the year 2007, Salman Khan wax replica was installed at the famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, London. He has two younger brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan both of whom are Bollywood actors and two younger sisters namely Alvira and Arpita. Salman Khan is famously known as a bad boy and an aggressive actor in Bollywood, but insiders say that Salman Khan has a heart of gold. He is involved with various charity organizations and NGO’s. He was also involved in a couple of controversies. In 2002 he drove his Land Cruiser into the pavement and rammed in a bakery killing one person. Later in 2006, Salman Khan was found guilty of hunting and killing Chinkara (protected wild animal). His latest movies Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard were box office hits. His upcoming movies are Ek Tha Tiger, Oh My God, Son of Sardar, Dabangg-2. Salman Khan has also been a part of television shows like 10 ka dam and Bigg Boss.
