She is known to be the queen of Bollywood in recent times. She has got a huge fan base in India as well as Pakistan and other countries across the globe and she is considered to be one of the highest paid actresses. She is none other than Katrina Kaif.

Katrina Kaif was born on 16th July, 1984 in Hong Kong before she migrated to the United Kingdom (She holds British citizenship). She is an Anglo-Indian since her father is from Kashmir while her mother is British. At a very young age of 14 years, Katrina Kaif began her move towards stardom participating in her first ever modeling assignment with a jewelry company in Hawaii. Since then, there has been no turning back. She is considered Bollywood’s most beautiful face with a million dollar smile.

During one of the modeling campaign, she was noticed by well known Bollywood Movie director, Kaizad Gustad. He gave her the first break in a Bollywood movie named ‘Boom’ which turned out to be a box office disaster. But, by then the whole world noticed her skills and offers began to start pouring in. She then went on to do many movies such as Sarkar (2005), Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya (2005) and Namastey London (2007) started bringing her into limelight. She also grabbed leading roles in a couple of Telegu and Malayalam movies. Currently she is having back to back movies which are yet to be released such as Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Dhoom-3 (2013), Dostana-2 (2013), Namak (2013) and Raajneeti-2 (2013).

Katrina Kaif won the ‘Face of India’ award during the India Fashion Week in 2005. She was buried with many advertising campaigns for leading brands such as Lakme, Veet, Samsung, LG and a lot more. She was also voted as the ‘Sexiest Asian Women’ for the years 2008, 2009 and 2010.

When Katrina Kaif came to India, she was not fluent in Hindi (national language of India) and in most of her movies, her voice was being dubbed by native speakers. Gradually she began learning Hindi and today, she acts in movies without the need of a dubbing artist.
