Lin attended Taipei Municipal Zhongzheng Junior High School and Bishop Strachan School in Toronto. She studied at the University of Toronto where she majored in Western Art History and Economics.

Currently Managed by Catwalk Modeling Agency, Lin is one of the most recognized models in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China.
Lin attended the Chanel International Show in 1999.
