Kareena Kapoor (commonly called as ‘Bebo’), is a leading Bollywood actress and was born on 21st September, 1980. She was born into an influential family of film actors. Her grandfather, father, uncles were all well known Bollywood actors of the past. Her parents, dad Radhir Kapoor and mother Babita were both actors. Her sister Karishma Kapoor too is a Bollywood actor.

She is the granddaughter of one of Bollywood’s legendary actor Raj Kapoor. She started her acting career with the movie ‘Refugee’ in the year 2000 for which she won the Filmfare award for the best debutante actor. Since then she has acted in more than 40 movies until today. Her inspiration for movies was Bollywood actors of yesteryears, Nargis and Meena Kumari and also her very own sister Karishma Kapoor. Apart from movies, she is also seen in many live shows across the world. She was rumored to be in a relationship with Shahid Kapoor which eventually led to a break up. Currently Kareena Kapoor is dating Bollywood heartthrob Saif Ali Khan and they have planned to marry and settle down somewhere in the late 2012.

Her latest movies in the year 2012 were ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ and ‘Agent Vinod’. ‘Heroine’ is scheduled to be released in September, 2012 and ‘Talaash’ in November. She grabbed the much awaited role in ‘Heroine’ after Aishwarya Rai walked out of the film due to her pregnancy.

Kareena Kapoor is also known to be involved with many humanitarian works. In the year 2003, she performed for ‘Marco Ricci Each One Reach One Benefit Concert’ to raise funds for the World Youth Peace Summit. She is also the brand ambassador for ‘Shakti – to help fight violence against women’ campaign, which is a project started by NDTV, a leading television network channel in India. Kareena Kapoor has also launched her own line of clothing and was also a former ambassador for Globus, a retail chain part of the Ratan Raheja Group.
